What nobody tells you about product intuition

I’ve realized intuition isn’t built in product reviews or dashboards.

It’s built quietly — through small observations, unrelated moments, and lessons that often have nothing to do with the industry you work in.

In product, intuition gets misunderstood because it rarely sounds confident. It sounds like, “Let’s wait,” or “This might matter later,” or “I just have a feeling this is worth doing.” And because it doesn’t fit neatly into a slide, it often gets dismissed.

But intuition isn’t about knowing more. It’s about noticing earlier, caring sooner, and trusting that will be enough until the numbers catch up.
