Two hours with Cursor changed my mind about AI coding

It'd help to know anything about what you actually used it for. What language, what sort of tasks, what were you doing where you were impressed by it?

Were you adding lines to a CSS file? Writing logic to control robotics? Making python scripts to do some file conversions? How many lines of code were you generating? 10s? 100s? 1000s?

There's the entire spectrum of possible coding tasks, from trivial to extremely complex.

It's like writing a post saying "I tried a driverless car and it worked great" with zero details about how far you went, whether you were in a busy city, whether the weather was raining or clear; no details whatsoever other than saying it "worked good".

For the first time in my career, I have no idea what software engineering will look like in 5-10 years. This post documents the 2-hour experience with Cursor that shifted me from AI coding skeptic to daily user.
