There is really no strong argument why Selenium should be better than Cypress. The only meaningful difference is the number of supported language, as far as the article describes these frameworks.

Selenium is still by far the best solution if you ask me, because all of the other solutions are explicitly first for testing.

Playwright is absolutely not “dominating” this space.
